Terms of Service
Last updated 12 August 2026
These terms cover your use of the Skryt applications and the VPN service behind them. By signing in, you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the service.
1. Your account
- Skryt runs on your Stremit account, and connecting requires an active entitlement — either a Stremit Pro subscription or the standalone Skryt add-on.
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account.
- Accounts are for one person. Don't share, resell or sublicense your access.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
2. Acceptable use
A VPN doesn't make otherwise illegal activity legal, and we will terminate accounts used for it. Specifically, don't use Skryt to:
- Break the law in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction you're exiting through.
- Attack, scan, flood or otherwise interfere with other networks or systems.
- Send spam or distribute malware.
- Infringe other people's intellectual property.
- Interfere with our infrastructure, evade entitlement checks, or resell capacity.
We may suspend or revoke a peer or an account immediately where we believe this section has been breached, or where a server operator or provider requires us to.
3. Availability and changes
Skryt is offered as-is and without an uptime guarantee. Servers can be added, moved or retired; features can change; maintenance happens. We aim to keep the service running well, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, particular speeds, or that any specific location will stay online.
Some builds are pre-release. Where a platform is marked as beta or coming soon, expect rough edges.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed through Stremit's billing system, processed by Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
- Prices and plan contents can change with notice, effective from your next renewal.
- Refunds are handled under Stremit's refund policy and any rights you have by law.
5. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Skryt applications while your account is in good standing. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the applications except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Skryt uses the WireGuard® protocol. "WireGuard" is a registered trademark of Jason A. Donenfeld. Skryt is not affiliated with or endorsed by the WireGuard project. Open-source components are used under their own licences, listed in the app under Settings → Open-source licenses.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or that it will be secure against every threat.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Termination
You can stop using Skryt and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law or a provider. On termination your issued peers are revoked and your tunnel stops working.
8. Privacy
What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for material changes we'll give notice in the app. Continuing to use Skryt after a change means you accept it.
10. If a clause fails
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is applied as closely to its intent as the law allows.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Stremit is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
